Welcome to my production website, Living Art! Here, you'll find a collection of my theatre and
film projects — moments of creativity, passion, and collaboration. Whether you're into the dramatic
world of stage or the magic of cinema, I hope you'll enjoy exploring the stories we've brought to life.
This space is all about sharing the journey of making art that resonates and inspires. The projects were
created in a collaborative environment by myself with many other creatives. I believe in the power of storytelling
to inspire, provoke, and connect.
The Breaking Stereotypes of the Elderly (BSE) project is dedicated to challenging and breaking the stereotypes surrounding elderly Australians over the age of sixty-five by telling authentic, diverse, and empowering stories that celebrate the richness of their lives. This project will allow older people to represent themselves, rather than being portrayed by other age groups which may represent cultural biases. The aim is to shift the narrative from one of limitation to one of vibrancy, resilience, and continued growth. Through compelling storytelling, a short film will portray elderly individuals not as marginalised or forgotten members of society, but as dynamic, multifaceted people who continue to inspire, contribute, and lead in ways that defy conventional expectations. Our mission is to create a powerful, positive representation that fosters respect, empathy, and a deeper understanding of the value that older generations bring to our world.
Synopsis: It is three o'clock in the morning and Doreen is late again. Arriving drunk, she is ready to make fun of "little Georgie". But for the first time in his life, George is putting his foot down!

A Christmas Carol
HOTA, Gold Coast, 2020;
Sydney Fringe Festival, 2022;
Zamia Theatre, Tamborine Mountain, 2022.
A one-man show retelling Charles Dickens’ classic tale of redemption and compassion. The story of Ebenezer Scrooge who on a cold Christmas Eve night is taken on a terrifying journey by three ghosts and shown the error of his ways, offers a timeless message about greed and the joy of sharing.
Will Bligh stars in this unique adaptation recreating Scrooges’s world using lighting, sound and a wooden chair. Experience a dynamic and visceral performance as all of your favourite characters, including Bob Cratchit, Jacob Marley, Tiny Tim and the three ghosts, are brought to life on stage.
This adaptation of A Christmas Carol develops a performance which moves away from a recital of the Dickens’ text to a more dramatic and engaging performance. This has been achieved by completely removing the narrator from the script, which allows the characters to develop each situation to maximise the drama on-stage. A second aim was to create a one-man show that opens up the theatrical possibilities for the performance. The removal of props and costumes frees the performer to engage with the audience in an energetic and visceral manner. There is also a tendency to portray Scrooge a caricature, and not as a ‘real’ person. I believe the contradictions is what makes Scrooge a compelling experience and allows the transformation he undergoes on stage to be an enlightening and relevant story for the audience.

"Now I am alone.." As seen through Hamlet's eyes and created entirely from Shakespeare's text, experience a unique interpretation which has entertained audiences in New York, Berlin, Prague and Sydney.
This performance is a solo rendition using only Shakespeare's text to present the play as seen through Hamlet's eyes, creating an immediate and personal experience of the play.
Hamlet is uniquely suited to the format of a one-man show as the play's dramatic tension stems from Hamlet's internal thought processes rather than a conflict between two characters. His sense of isolation and alienation are emphasised by removing other actors from the stage.

The Main Course (2000)
“The Main Course” (writer/director/producer), Australia, 2000
Duration: 23 minutes
Genre: Drama
Format: Digital Video
In competition for National Short Film Competition, Canberra International Film Festival, ’00. Finalist in the Queensland New Filmmakers Awards, ’00.
Synopsis: The primary focus of “The Main Course” was to create an environment conducive for improvisation, where the actors, using developed characters, discovered the story while shooting. The story is about Michelle’s revenge on her unfaithful boyfriend.
Before the shooting of The Main Course the actors weren’t told the story. Their characters had been developed without arriving at the point of conflict: an affair. The primary focus of this project was to create an environment conducive for improvisation, where the actors, using developed characters, discovered the story. Conflict in the story was introduced either through the individual character’s development or by prompting the actor during shooting. The actors had to listen and respond, which encouraged them to stay ‘in the moment’. With radio mikes and the entire set lit, the actors were free to walk where and when they felt appropriate during the performance.
